Why do I see the error message “Demo limited to 5 minutes (No debug license for selected core)”?

This error occurs when you select a CPU that is not covered by the debug licenses included with your debug probe.

The TRACE32 software switches to a time-limited demo mode (5 minutes).

Example

For example, if you are using TRACE32 PowerView for Arm with a debug probe that includes a debug license for Cortex-A/-R (Armv7) and select a Cortex-M CPU, you will encounter this error. To resolve it, a Cortex-M debug license must be added to the debug probe. For more information related to required licenses for debugging your target processor, please refer to the Lauterbach website, or contact sales@lauterbch.com.

Note

Please note that the error message “Demo limited to 5 minutes (No debug license for selected core)” is not related to the validity of the software maintenance.
