How to use triggers with the Mixed-Signal Probe?

The Mixed-Signal Probe can trigger on

  • The trigger bus (enabled as a CIProbe trigger by CIProbe.TSELect BusA ON)
  • An analog trigger (use the advanced button in the CIProbe.state window or the commands around CIProbe.ATrigMODE, see its documentation). Each channel has two comparators and the trigger condition is based on that.
  • A simple digital trigger (also via the advanced button in the CIProbe.state window or the command CIProbe.TSYNC.SELect). Each digital channel's condition can be: "don't care", "low", "high", "rising edge" or "falling edge".

On a trigger, the probe will record an additional number of records configured with CIProbe.TDelay and then stop automatically. The record that caused the trigger will have record index 0. It is also possible to use the trigger to feed the barrel connector for external tools, to stop the target or to trigger the flow trace.
