This error indicates that no voltage is detected on the reference voltage (VTref) pin of the debug connector. TRACE32 requires this reference voltage to operate correctly.

• Check the orientation and location of the debug probe.

  • Make sure the connector of the probe is not reversed.

  • If the board has multiple debug connectors, confirm you are using the correct one.

• Measure the reference voltage one on the VTref pin of the debug connector.

• Check the target schematics:

  • Is the VTref pin correctly connected to the target's I/O supply?

  • Is the GND pin properly connected to the board ground?
