I've had difficulty finding the specifications for the allowable voltage range for the E40, E50 and X51. I searched for their power supplies and found the E40/E50 are 7.5 VDC at 2400 mA and X51 is 8V at 8.12 A.
I want to setup some automated test setups and was thinking of running 9V supplies. The text on the debuggers state 7.. 9 VDC or 7.. 12 VDC (for the latest model) -- what is the maximum allowable voltage for each model? E.g., if it's 9 VDC max, is there ~0.5 V tolerance on that above?
I would like to setup an over-voltage protection circuit with a threshold of 9.5 VDC -- is that low enough, or do I need 9.25 VDC? 9V wall warts are much more available than 8V models.

PowerDebug E40 can be supplied with up to 10.0 V, provided no PodBus extensions are connected.
PowerDebug E50 and X51 support input voltages up to 13.2 V.
If these absolute maximum ratings are exceeded, the overshoot protection will activate and the PowerDebug will shut down.
Therefore, using a 9 V DC power supply is acceptable for all three devices.
Please note that PowerDebug E40 and E50 may require up to 2.4 A, while PowerDebug X51 with a PowerTrace extension may require up to 7.5 A.
