This error indicates that your TRACE32 installation contains files from different software versions that are incompatible with each other. As a result, TRACE32 cannot start correctly.
A common cause is manually installing a nightly software update for only some of the installed processor architectures.
If your TRACE32 installation supports both Arm and TriCore, and you apply a nightly update provided by Lauterbach only for TriCore, the Arm installation becomes inconsistent. When you then start TRACE32 for Arm, the error “Inconsistent TRACE32 installation, please re-install” is displayed.
How to resolve the issue:
You can fix this problem using one of the following methods:
Re-install TRACE32 from the original DVD or installation package you received.
Download and install the latest official TRACE32 release from the Lauterbach website.
Request a software update package from Lauterbach Support, making sure to specify all processor architectures you are using.
